HydroFit Floatation Cuffs

Versatile aquatic therapy aids designed for individuals with sciatica, helping to reduce spinal pressure during hydrotherapy.

Conducted several interviews in which I gained insight on what recovery looks like for individuals who have osteoarthritis, sciatica, gout, and even individuals who have recovered from heart attacks and strokes. All of them have been able to seek enrichment through recovery, as they could invest time into caring for their body and gain the strength to maintain their previous passions/hobbies.

USER TESTING

I observed an Aquatic Fitness class at Orange Memorial Pool. The aquatics exercise class was conducted by Jennifer L., a recent undergrad who majored in physical therapy & exercise science and is currently pursuing her master’s at USF. After speaking with her, I was able to gain insight on what types of movements in the water are best for recovery and physical exercise, without triggering sciatic pain.
